Project: Generator room

Objectives:

Empty room. Remove everything being stored in generator room to aft deck. Dispose of any unlabeled or undated fluids.

Prepare generator for moving. i.e. Hoses, wires, bolts etc..

Build temporary platform for generator to rest while repairs are made.

Clean all debris and contaminates on and around fuel tank and failed beam.

Replace failed beam

Open and inspect fuel tank. Empty contaminants and asses feasibility of reconnecting tank . Cap and plug all access to tank.

Neutralize or remove all rust and corrosion.

Clean and paint bilges

Clean and inspect generators. Prep and paint.

Log:

Wash down boat

Measure out generator room for materials needed to move generator.

Mail out Sunglasses left by guest

Label and disconnect all wires, bolts, fuel and exhaust lines from generator in preparation for moving

Pick up loaner come-a-long and high strength movers for generator project

Pick up Memory card for camera (To create video logs), Binder and sheet protectors for printed log

Generator project notes:

The wood base supporting the generator is in an advanced state of

rot. The wood was easily bored through using a screw driver. All wood will be replaced new. Ben Smith will hopefully be available to do all the prep and painting on the wood. The prep will be a combination of high strength epoxy sealant followed by a coat of paint.
