This is the inside of the of the aft generator sea strainer.
Notice the black, circular piece at the bottom. It is a part of the corroded basket.
This is the inside of the filter housing were the water flows through.
It needs to removed and thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Replace if needed.
Sight glass was given a proper cleaning.
The aft generator through hull valve has failed and needs to be replaced at the next haul out. The leak is small but steady.
The grounding has failed and most of it has been under water for quite some time. All wire should be cut back, inspected and new connector installed.
The cut-off valve leading to the fly bridge sink is leaking. The valve was shut off to avoid draining the water tank.
The leaking valve is the bottom one with the wagon wheel.
The valve at the top, left of the pic, serves no purpose. It should be capped-off.
The ice maker in the salon is not making ice. It is taped off. Ice for the weekend will need another source.
All defects are now being logged in the Vessel Management System as well any maintenance done.
I have purchased a program that allows me to run it on my Mac. I will be using my computer as the administrating computer while the data entry is being done. The vessel laptop will temporarily serve as a user and data back-up. Additional back-ups are recommened since all the data entered is work product, it would be a shame to lose it.
The VMS program has a lot to offer. One of the features is multiple users/viewers. At this time, I am at the learning and data input mode. In short time, others will be able to view and contribute.
Despite a few issues the boat is ready for guests. Genertor sea strainer baskets will be in early tomorrow. All state rooms and heads are in order. Mains have recently been started and brought to temperature. All air conditioners, with the exception of the the salon, which is working but running a bit weak, are tested and working. Fuel is good, tanks that need to be full are full, others are empty
