August 5, 2010

The majority of yesterday was spent fine tuning the fit of the new frame. A good amount of time is used checking and double checking that the new design being fabricated will work and fit according to plan. So far everything looks great. The frame has been sanded and primed .

Today the frame was fit and all the pieces drilled out. Hardware will be stainless steel with insulating neoprene washers. A rubber matting will be used between the frame and the vessel beam. This will help to dampen vibration.

The generator needed to be jockeyed around with great care and difficulty in order to size and fit the framing. Non the less, we are making progress.

Ben is gone again. His passion is diving and fishing. Its hard for him to turn down a gig were someone pays him to do what he loves. He has prepped both main engines for painting.

The painting is now being done by Sonny, who is a local painter. He has taken the generator covers and will begin with that. Tomorrow he starts on the main engines.

The only immediate set back has been locating the 5/4 sheet of marine grade plywood needed
for the generator frame. If i can track it down tomorrow the gen will be in this weekend. If i cant, it most wait till Monday.

I noticed that the expense report did not come through well. I will fix it. I have already consulted with an IT consultant. It's not that i cant figure it out, i just don't have time. Better to learn from someone that knows what they are doing.

The camera was MIA for a while but its back. Pictures are on their way.
